Mitch joined the Insurance People team in 2018 after graduating with a degree in Business Administration – Economics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In college, Mitch was active on-campus, working for the Athletic Department as the Building Manager of Trask Coliseum and serving on his fraternity’s E-Board for three years as the Eminent Recorder. Mitch was given the honor of “walking early” at the 2017 Fall Graduation ceremony for completing graduation requirements in 3.5 years.
Mitch is a Durham-native who is licensed in property and casualty insurance and can provide coverage for individuals (home and auto) as well as businesses (property, liability, etc.). He holds several designations, which include: Accredited Cyber Risk Advisor (ACRA), Certified Builders Insurance Agent (CBIA), and Master WorkComp Advisor (MWCA). Currently, Mitch serves on the Membership Committee of the Homebuilder’s Association of Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties.
Mitch is an industry expert in Workers’ Compensation insurance and OSHA recordkeeping compliance. Mitch has received two prestigious designations from the Institute of WorkComp Professionals as well as many other certificates for course completion. Mitch understands the complexity of workplace safety and OSHA inspections, which helps him advise his clients and community members on compliance, abatement, and industry best practices. In 2020, Mitch lead the safety efforts for Insurance People to receive North Carolina Department of Labor’s First Year Gold Safety Award.
Mitch is the father of a handsome, young cat named “Ollie” and the uncle of his roommate’s dog, “Rosie.” Mitch is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Rams as well as UNCW Basketball. Mitch enjoys watching sports, playing golf, fly fishing, and spending time with his friends and family.
